@Java:
Thanks, Java. Southern Decadence essentially didn't happen this year. The few of us that showed up partied as we could, but the approaching Gustav was always in the back of everyone's minds. There will be more Southern Decadences, just like there will always be a party in New Orleans.

@Hayward:
We are glad you and your family made it out. And we hope your home survived. Hopefully your journey out was just as non-eventful as ours was.

@Cobban:
Thank you. It was a little downer, but NOLA was always be there in one form or another for another party.

@yvespaul:
Thank you, and thank you. Hopefully sometime in the future you will get the chance to experience what is Southern Decadence in New Orleans.

@Alexander:
I know, I know--Gustav fucked us. It was actually a big group fuck apparently. One big top with no lube and a million bottoms.

And thanks.

@Greg:
Thank you, and so far, so good.

@Deadrobot, @cb and @RG:
Believe it or not, I didn't get any "good" shots this year. But all the ones I took are now over on flickr. Some will be making a showing here with explanations.

@Urspo:
I did. For the first time in a long time.

@Greg:
Thank you!

@Romach:
Thank you! Leave it to television to always show the "worst". It wasn't that bad, except for the having to leave part.

@Johnathon:
It was definitely an interesting weekend for all. And just how often can one say they were in New Orleans when it was evacuated. Not to mention all the fun places between there and pretty much everywhere North of it.

Did anyone in your party get any pictures this year?

@Steve:
Glad you guys made it back safely as well! I'm sure there will be more tattooing going on at future events ;)

@Java:
There was some blowing to be had, but I don't think his name was Gustav....

It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't what one expects from Southern Decadence either. There will be more attempts at being decadent in New Orleans later.

Was it even a little bit decadent? Or was it just all wet? Did it blow, but not in a good way?

I'm so happy to read that you're back home safe and sound. And, I will join the chorus - pics of the debauchery please, post catch-up sleep, of course.
