Dad is still in ICU. He had Occupational Therapy to assist with the stroke that has partially affected the right side of his body and Inhalation Therapy to help with the blood clot that he has in his lung.

I’m back home in Arkansas. Aside from sitting between two extremely “hefty” women on the first leg of the trip, it was mostly uneventful.
I called mom when I got back to let her know I made it home, and to check on dad. They have done another CAT scan on dad and he has a clot in his leg that is causing some swelling. They are going to increase the type of blood thinners he is on to see if that will dissolve the clot.
I guess if it’s not one thing, it’s something else….

“I’m leaving on a jet plane…”
Sitting at MCO waiting on my flight to leave. Mom dropped me off about 30 minutes ago and is then heading to the hospital to see dad. He is supposed to be moved this morning to PCU. I’ll call when I get to my connection in Dallas to see how he is doing.
I already miss the warm weather…
Until next time…

Just got done seeing dad again. This whole only four visiting times a day is getting old (I know, he needs to rest). He seems to be doing better. He is starting to get his color back. I didn’t get a chance to talk with a doctor or his nurse to see how things were going medically with him.
The nurse said they were going to possibly move dad out of ICU today. If they do, then I will most likely be heading home tomorrow, but I’m still not sure yet though. I can move the return date on the ticket if I need to.
Until next time…
